Looking from interior space of my living room through the exterior space that is a balcony deck with plants along the railing. My wife and I have just enough space for five planter boxes. Basil, Chives, Rosemary and Mints are herbs we use for cooking and decorating the ledge. My favourite plants are the mints because of their attractive array of sensual qualities.
Visually, Mint leaves tend to have saw toothed edges. Some, like the Common Mint and Eau de Cologne, a cultivated mint, have reddish stems and green leaf. I like how that leaf variety resembles a spade shape because in a prior vocation as a water maintenance operator, I did a lot of digging. In that leaf form, I see some of my life story.
Aside from Mint meaning a culinary herb, the word also means
noun - a place where money is coined, especially under state authority
adjective - (of an object) in pristine condition; as new
verb - make (a coin) by stamping metal
In a strange way, a poetic way, I see minting as making oneself.
